Equipping and Positioning Women
for Economic Justice
Our Mission
The Center for Advancement of Development Rights (CEADER) is a non-governmental organization that seeks to increase women's capacity to overcome poverty and strengthen their participation in development activities in their communities. CEADER especially targets the health and economic condition of women in urban slum communities with the provision of human rights education, technical assistance on self-help projects, and utilizes social and economic rights advocacy as a tool for holding relevant agencies accountable to fulfilling their obligations to women in slum communities. CEADER’s work is largely based on the provisions of relevant international and local human rights laws, in particular, the Convention on Elimination of All forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
